ESA-486AVR
ESA designed this 486 industrial motherboard as a direct replacement for legacy x86 applications. This legacy 486 format has updated features so you can explore additional possibilities for your project.
With 8x ISA and 1x shared PCI slot you can forget having to use an SBC with a passive backplane. It’s all here in a baby AT motherboard format powered by a ZFMicro x86 SoC. No need for a heatsink and fan with this hard-wired, ultra-low power, speed adjustable CPU. Your choice of ATX or AT power input and Large DIN or PS/2 keyboard. On-board VGA, via header, saves an ISA slot. Hardwired 8, 32, or 128MB PC-100 SDRAM. Bootable CF card slot, mini PCI slot, watchdog timer, GPIO, floppy drive header, and dual IDE interfaces. On-board speaker and reset button. DR-DOS 7.0 license included.
The ESA-486AVR ZFx86 System-on-Chip includes both CPU and chipset. The SoC is ultra-low power; less than 1.0W @ 100MHz. CPU speed is user selectable by jumper for: 33MHz, 66MHz, or 100MHz to match your application requirements. Hard-wired VGA in an on-board SM712 Silicon Motion graphic controller with 4MB of internal memory. The on-board bootable CF card slot uses no extra memory addresses. All this in a manageable 10.2″ x 8.6″ standard baby AT footprint.
ESA-486AVR industrial I/O includes 8x ISA & 1shared PCI slot, 1x mini-PCI slot, AT and ATX power connectors, 2x serial and 1 parallel port native to the chipset. Additional I/O includes 1x FDD, 2x IDE, speaker, reset button, power and HDD LEDs, watchdog timer, GPIO, AT KB connector, PS/2 KB and mouse headers, and a bootable CF card slot.
