The TANK-620-ULT3 with up to 14 COM ports is an ideal computer for Automated Fare Collection (AFC), ATM, Kiosk, and industrial automation applications. Its fanless design, extended -30°C – 70°C operating temperature, and shock/vibration qualification, make this a perfect fit for harsh environment installations.
The TANK-620-ULT3 has more of everything; more serial ports, more USB ports, and more DIO channels than other computers in the same class. Why? Your transportation, ATM, or kiosk project needs them if the computer is running multiple devices and peripherals within the system. The computer platform has also been shock/vibration qualified so it can be installed in harsh environments. All COM ports are equipped with TX/RX data transmission signal LED indicators for visual monitoring. Optional CF card slot and 9 ~ 36 V DC wide-range input voltage specification covers the various equipment bus configurations and lessens the need for multiple adapter types.
The 6th-Gen Intel® Celeron® Skylake 3855U CPU with a 15W TDP and DDR4 memory lend both power and efficiency to a multi-tasking environment. The 24-bit DIO is more than double the size of conventional systems and along with the 14 serial ports, can control the numerous functions and devices in a payment system, ATM, or kiosk. 2x full-size Mini PCIe slots (PCIe by1, USB2.0), 1x M.2 2280 (M key, PCIe by 4, SATA muxed SATA2) and wireless 1x 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (optional) round out expansion capability.
The TANK-620-ULT3 front panel represents pure utility with over 90% of the 39 in² of available space comprised of I/O connectors or cut-outs. The power and reset buttons are located on the panel for convenience. 6x RS-232 and 8x RS-232/422/485 COM ports (automatic flow control) take up most of this area. The 24-bit DIO (12-bit input/12-bit output) can handle an extensive array of sensors and devices. The 1Mb of FRAM NVRAM is perfect for Automated Fare Collection (AFC), measuring devices, ATM transaction history and other applications that require frequent data writing to small density memory. A Programmable 1~255 sec/min watchdog timer (WDT) is provided to prevent the system from “freezing” in the event of a hardware or software fault. 2x VGA @up to 1920 x 1200, 60Hz, and an optional LVDS @up to 1920 x 1200, 60Hz or 3rd VGA channel are available.
